“11.000 children participated in the Ergometric Programme! This success showed that children want to practice sports and to make them a WAY OF LIVING.

I found out on site the interest and will of all participants and I believe that this effort can attract even more youngsters in the future.

Sports can ensure us all a healthier tomorrow.”

Ergometric Program for kids and teenagers between 9 and 16 years of age
Over 11.000 children have already joined us in sports…and gave us the determination to continue!!! Join us in Sports!

The successful innovative Ergometric Program “Join us in Sports” aims to measure and assess the athletic ability of children and teenagers 9 to 16 years of age. The Ergometric Program was launched for the first time in Greece in 2006 with the support of COSMOTE. From November 2006 till May 2009, the programme was carried out in 34 municipalities of Attica, and 10 cities of Greek periphery giving 11,000 children the opportunity to discover their athletic abilities using scientific means! Children and teenagers had the opportunity, regardless of whether they actively exercise or not, to find the sport that really suits them best and thus to make sports A WAY OF LIFE !

The program is implemented with the scientific support of the Ergophysiology – Ergometry Laboratory of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Science of Athens and the “EY ZHN” organization. Children’s efforts were supported by the weightlifting Olympic Champion and COSMOTE Social Responsibility program ambassador Pyrros Dimas.
